WCCO also did a feature story "Como in Crisis" on the 6PM news which was well done. They also stated that the police chief and Mayor Rybak would take "immediate action" to resolve the problems in SE Como. Which include safety concerns, the recent up-tick in violent crime(beatings, assault,etc...), overoccupancy, cash hungry investors from out of the area flipping properties to rental, lack of housing code inspections, lack of proper rental licenses, lack of police response, increased vandalism, grafitti, along with public urination/defacation all of which City Hall and the mayor's office has been unable effectively deal with up until now. But things can change, in fact they will have to, or the City will find all of the long-term residents/homeowners leaving and 10 plus years of efforts to revitalize this neighborhood flushed down the toilet.
