contributors' employers'):

Minneapolis may not quite have reached the point of Albuquerque, but we
desperately need to reform how we finance local elections. We need
reform not just because of our ethics, but because of the results we
want to achieve.

Kevin is strongly in support of new development in Ward 12 and sees
higher density housing in Minneapolis' future. His advocacy for
neighborhood-friendly development (that encourages walking, biking and
transit) has attracted considerable support throughout Ward 12.

He understands that residents will be open to higher density if it
offers a robust mix of residential unit sizes and thereby strengthens
our communities with housing stock for seniors, families and younger
people. Through proactive neighborhood-scale planning, we can encourage
a better mix of owner-occupied and rental housing and make substantial
contributions toward our city's affordable housing goals.

Minneapolis needs independent leaders at City Hall. If we are to fully
realize LRT's promise of revitalizing our neighborhoods, we need leaders
who are not tied to special interests and who refrain from accepting
campaign contributions from developers and their contractors doing
business with the city.
