This comment only reinforces my point that the writer engages in
childish name calling. I say again that comparing one's opponent to
Bush/Cheney belittles the seriousness of what's going on at the
national level. And it ignores such obvious points as the fact that
the Minneapolis police, unlike the Swiftboat Veterans for Truth et
al, is a real organization with real concerns that existed before the
campaign.
I add to Laura Huseby's list of the Mayor's exaggerated credit-taking
in the environmental area the Mayor's claim that the city has "met
the Kyoto Protocol goals for pollution reduction" -- easy enough to
do when the city excludes transportation emissions because they're
too difficult to calculate.
