After years of sitting on the sidelines and not paying attention as affairs at
the Minneapolis Park Board went from bad to worse, the Strib editorial staff
has tried to sound knowledgeable in putting out their endorsements.

In their inability to grasp how bad things have become, they attack the
messengers, CM Vivian Mason and those working for park reform. Then, in a
maneuver akin to blaming the troops when the war is lost, they scorn the
efforts of CM Berry Graves and Young.

With their erroneous circular misstatements and vague assertions, they remind
me of a student trying to bluff through a book report on an unread assignment.

I don't think it's going to fly, however. Too many out there know the details
of the real plot.
