Re: MPL reaching it's $15 million fundraising goal... those pesky high-rollers step up to the plate again... (as recently reported by Mpls-St Paul Business Journal)
Cargill, Pohlad among Mpls. Public Library donors The fundraising was led by six gifts of $1 million from the Cargill Foundation, the Carl and Eloise Pohlad Family Foundation, the Knight Foundation, the Kresge Foundation, Bruce and Ruth Dayton, and the Emma B. Howe Foundation of the Minneapolis Foundation. The library has received more than 2,100 donations, totaling nearly $15.1 million toward the construction of the new Minneapolis Central Library in downtown Minneapolis over the past three years. [MH] Just think, a one million dollar contribution is the equivalent of 20,000 fifty dollar contributions, or 500 two thousand dollar gifts. My thanks to the high-rollers! And to everyone else that contributed- both large and small! Mike Hohmann Linden Hills REMINDERS: 1. Be civil! Please read the NEW RULES at http://www.e-democracy.org/rules.
