I wish I could vote for Jason Stone.

The answer is to elect reform candidates including Jason Stone so that there
is a majority that can enact positive improvements. The technical answer is
that the board does not directly manage staff other than the superintendent,
their lawyer and a secretary who is not a member of the board. The Board must
have a superintendent that can effectively carry out the board's directives.
Absent that, they must select another superintendent.

I haven't talked about this to any one, but it might be helpful if the board
in January selected a secretary for the board was not also trying to direct
board actions as a staff person.

I would also add that any Commissioner who has recieved money from the
current lawyer or his law firm must refrain from voting on whether he should
be
selected as the Board's lawyer.

Thanks,

Park Board candidate and mapmaker
