What a wonderful netlet. -Amanda Tempel, NE Park Rybak has made a mark in the region
As suburban mayors, we've been pleased to find R.T. Rybak very engaged on regional issues, like transportation and housing, that affect all of our metropolitan area cities. Rybak has shown a willingness to work with the suburbs to create solutions to common problems. As mayor, he's made a genuine and earnest effort to interact with his neighboring communities on issues of common concern.
Rybak represents Minneapolis' interests well in the regional dialogue as a bright, articulate spokesperson on local government issues. We've seen him as an active participant in regional discussions, a quick study on problems and imaginative in proposing potential solutions.
We all believe that our dominant regional city needs to be healthy and vital if we are to succeed in a competitive global economy, and that Rybak can help make Minneapolis one of the great cities in our country if given a chance to serve a second term.
Rybak has shown himself to be deserving of a chance to represent the city he loves for a second term. We expect great leadership from him for his community and the region in the next four years. Minneapolis voters should return him to the mayor's office on Tuesday.
