Diane Wiley had a great post on Saturday listing a number of good reasons to return Annie Young to the Minneapolis Park Board.
I'd like to expand on just one of them. Many elected officials talk about their "accessibility" and how fast they can get an answer back to you about a question. Annie is one of the few local elected officials I know of who is not only accessible for answering questions but actually seeks out public opinion on Park Board issues up for vote before making her decisions. I remember specifically two examples where she used this forum to do so, one being with the Dairy Queen proposal and another being when Crown Hydro was under consideration. That sets her apart from the rest as a public servant and as a Park Board commissioner. Mark Snyder Windom Park proud to support Annie Young REMINDERS: 1. Be civil!
