Great idea.  I'll repeat another idea I've heard
proposed:  

Let's increase the population of Minneapolis (and St.
Paul).  One does not have to look very long to see the
contempt for the city coming from the Capitol.  The
cultural wedge issues are a great example of this
contempt and the mega-church rally in EP is the ugly
proof.  If the Suburbs continue to gain the largest
share of population growth in MN, the legislature will
continue to slice and dice the inner city.  The fact
of the matter is that Minneapolis has lost
representation as publicly subsidized and facilitated
urban sprawl has grown the Suburbs at the expense of
the city.  Let's reverse this process and take back
the legislature in the process.  Heck, let's go for
another seat in Congress as well.
