Again perhaps a little out of your kneck of the woods, Scott ran for Park Board as a Green in 2001 and as a DFL'er in 2004. I think it says alot about the fine qualities that Scott will bring to the park board that both parties have endorsed him in races for office. I wouldn't reduce this to a flying a "flag of convenience" on the candidates part.
I don't believe their would have been support among the Greens to run a candidate against Scott unless someone stepped forward who would be better than him in that office and I believe that would be a tall order indeed.
