Not only was Bob Fine not endorsed in 2005, he also did NOT get the endorsement in 2001. In fact, in 2001, all the candidates were supposed to answer the question if they would run against an endorsed candidate. Due to the very late hour of the endorsement, no one remembered to ask the question. Had we remembered to ask and had he answered that he wouldn¹t run against the endorsed candidate, perhaps he wouldn¹t have been in office the last 4 years.
