Others have mentioned great Minneapolis Bookstores but the best used store in the area is Sixth Chamber on Grand near Fairview in St Paul. They have a great novel selection in both hardcover and paperback, their stock is searchable on the internet (http://www.sixthchamber.com/) and you can hold books for pick-up later over the web. Surprise your mom and find a book she wants, put it on hold then go over there. You can stop at Treadle Yard Goods while you're there.

I promised my mom a visit to a used book store while she's visiting next week. She needs to stock up on some novels for the long, cold winter. Does anyone have a recommendation for a store to visit? She's looking for fiction
and would appreciate inexpensive prices.
