For those of you still keeping track, the complaint that Steve Jevning
brought against Elizabeth Glidden on behalf of Marie Hauser was dismissed
today. All the details can be found through this link.

I wasn't keeping track, because it was a frustration complaint to begin
with, Hauser had already shot herself in the foot quite adequately with
the Mary Merrill Anderson gaff, whether dismissed or upheld in court.
The complaint on that one was to mark the insult to the family in the
public record.
Much more importantly, out of the ten precincts in Ward 8, Hauser won
only the precinct she lives in (northwest corner of the ward with a
traditionally low voter turnout), Glidden having walked off with the
nine other precincts, more than half by a healthy margin. Glidden had
some 1,000 votes more than Hauser. Glidden's votes were spread around
the ward, King Field did not bring this one in for Glidden any more so
than did any other precinct. She won it fair and square.
I stopped in at Glidden's victory party. Her supporters were the long
time residents including the best organized of the African American long
time residents. Those were the democrats and DFLers who can turn out the
vote on their recommendation to their neighbors.
