The Stevens Square Center for the Arts (SSCA) is proud to invite all of
Minneapolis to our first fundraiser - Curiosities. (SSCA is an
all-volunteer organziation located in Stevens Square, formed to transform
vacant commerical space into a community arts center).
What: Curiosities
When: Saturday (November 19th), 7PM-Midnight

The night will feature art, performances, film, refreshemnts, a silent
auction, and other curiosities, including:
- A silent auction to raise money for SSCA, with over $5,400 in donated
artwork (all local artists) and goods from places such as the Bell Museum,
Acadia Cafe, the
Electric Fetus, and MN Film Arts.
- Local music by Dreamland Faces who rock out on saw, accordion and voice
- Frilla with their golden sounds emanating from a hand-knit igloo
- Ta Ingen: Think “Partridge Family does death metal”
- Improvisational avant-garde folk-noise by Astronaut Cooper’s Parade
- The experimental music collective Brown Rainbow
- Tap-dancing with the Shim Sham Shufflers
- Audience-directed art-making with artists Ben Olson and Jaron
Childs
- Fashion designs by Lauren Schad

encouraged.
