Okay, I'll be the first (and I certainly hope not the last) to express my 
disgust. 

This is the DFL that most of us claim to be a part of, right? The Democratic 
Party? The progressives? The ones who are supposed to be fighting for the 
common good? The people who claim to support candidates and elected officials 
who aren't beholden to special interests and greedy millionaires? 

I've lived in this city, this so-called progressive stronghold, for one year 
now. I came from a city bitterly divided between Democrats and Republicans. And 
yet, I don't really feel like the political landscape here is much different. 
The only real difference that I can see is that instead of having Democrats and 
Republicans, here they all just call themselves Democrats - and for some reason 
people put up with it. 

Taking $10,000 from one donor in a park board race - hell, in ANY election race 
- is NOT consistent with DFL values. Where is the common good in that?
