Hi everyone, I am developing a small user daemon[1] that listens for MPRIS signals and uses the information to submit songs to last.fm/libre.fm and listenbrainz.org
The later of these services requires data from some of the MusicBrainz IDv2 tags in order to form a complete submission. However this information can almost never be found in the MPRIS metadata, as there is just one media player - that I know of - that extended their implementation to contain them. This player is Rhythmbox. I would be interested if there is any interest in adding the MusicBrainz tags to the MPRIS spec. These tags are already present in the Xesam ontology[2].
