You did it backwards.

It should be this
RESET CLUSTER(Y) QMNAME(X) ACTION(FORCEREMOVE) QUEUES(YES)

The cluster attribute says which cluster do you want purge of the bad data.
The QM attribute is what QM you want to force out.

Subject: CLUSTER PROBLEM

I just did the RESET CLUSTER(X) QMNAME(Y) ACTION(FORCEREMOVE) QUEUES(YES)

with no result.

I should have told you before that I wanted to replace Y with a clone YY
which has the same cluster queue name in the same clsuter.
Now I have two queues with the same name hosted by 2 different queue
managers. And have deleted these queues from queue managers Y and YY but
they both still appear in the repository queue manager of the cluster. I
did the above command from the cluster repository queue manager for both Y
and YY with no change.
