Don, I have checked the security logs in NT (via the event viewer) and all of the other logs. There isn't any trace of anything that seems to point me in a particular direction.
What I do notice is something a little more strange. There is probably a simple answer to this, but I don't know what it is. When I bring up MQ explorer and it it shows the two QMGRs with a green circle so that I know they are running, I right click on the QMGR and select properties. In the properties box in the connection section, it shows the Local/Remote connection as local, but the connection status is "Not Connected". What can cause this "Not Connected" status? Look at Chapter 11 of the 5.3 Quick Beginnings manual. Also have you looked at the Windows security event log to see if there are any more clues there? -----Original Message----- From: MQSeries List [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Dave Corbett Sent: Monday, October 25, 2004 3:34 PM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: Security error connecting to w2k 5.2 qmgr I have an MQ v5.2.1 qmgr running on a w2k box. When I try to connect to the qmgr from an app server (different physical box) I receive a 2063 error. This will happen with either a 5.2 client or a 5.3 client. A strange thing about this box is that when I bring up MQ explorer, I can see the QMGR, but none of the objects beneath it. If I try to use runmqsc, I get an error saying that the qmgr is not available. However, I have a browser based utility program (from Reconda) that connects and displays all of the objects just fine. I have two QMGRs on the box, one listening on 1414 and the other on 1415. The user MUSR_MQADMIN is part of the mqm group as well as many other users as I have tried to fix this by granting everyone access until something works. I am totally confused. Can anyone help me out there?
