When installing MQ 5.3 on Win2000, using the Microsoft Software Installer,
I am using the silent install mode - i.e. using a response.ini file.

In the response file, does the KEEPMQDATA parameter override the LOGFOLDER
parameter? I tried to change the location of the log folder by using the
LOGFOLDER parameter, but I also used the KEEPMQDATA parm because I wanted
to keep the existing MQ object definitions and attributes.

My old location was d:\MQSeries\data\log, and I specified d:\MQSeries\log
in the LOGFOLDER parm, but, although the install was successful, the log
folder did not change. Is this the correct behavior? If so, is the only way
to move the log folder to completely uninstall and re-install? Can I still
keep my object definitions? (I think I could, they are in a different
area). Or I could update the Registry... but that makes me nervous.

PS everything is on the same drive because all non-Microsoft software has
been banned from the C drive.

TIA
Peter
