Hello all, I needed to move my MQSI control center from PC to a
different PC. The one it was on was up for lease. The broker is on the
Z/OS system so all I had to move was the control center. The question I
have for anyone willing to help me is: did I do everything I needed to
do? I haven't tried to deploy yet since it is the production system and
I'm concerned about errors and deployment failure. Anyone here is what I
did:

1) I Logged on as admin on the old machine. I Opened the MQSI command
center and exported all message flows into the directory called
D:\MQ-EXPORT.

2) I opened a dos command line window. Changed to the directory
D:\MQ-EXPORT and exported all Message Sets into this directory using the
mqsiimpexpmsgset utility.

3) I Change to directory D:\MQ-QMGR-CONFIGS and ran the saveqmgr utility
to export the qmgr definitions.

4) I copied all directories to the target machine.

5) I installed DB/2 MQ and MQSI on the target PC. I also updated them
and brought to the same CSD level as the original PC.

6) I created the queue manager name just like it was on the old box.

7) I started the queue manager.

8) I opened a DOS command box and changed to the MQ-QMGR-CONFIGS
directory and did a RUNMQSC < xxxx where xxxx is the file that was
output from the saveqmgr command. This will create all system and user
entries as they were on the old PC.

9) I went back to MQSeries explorer to verify that the objects were
created.

10) I started the sender channel to z/os mainframe and verified that the
receiver started on the mainframe I also started the sender channel on
the mainframe and made sure the receiver started on the PC server.

11) I created the MQSI command center database and the mrm database with
the same name that they had on the old PC and ODBC'ed them.

12) I created The MQSI Configuration Manager

13) I started the configuration manager by opening a DOS command prompt
and entering MQSISTART configmgr

14) I checked Error and event logs. The config manager started.

15) I opened and brought up the MQSI Control Center

16) I imported all message flows and topology that I had exported on the
old PC.2) CD: MQ-EXPORT

17) I imported the message sets that I exported from the old machine. I
received no errors and I saw them in the control center.

18) My next step is to deploy. Here is where I stopped. Since this is
the production MQSI I wanted to make sure that I was ready to deploy so
that I would not get any errors. Can anyone tell me if I forgot to do
anything? Any help is appreciated.
