Queue names are not prepended with a QSG name, but CF structures are. When
you define a queue that is a shared queue, you define it to be in a
particular CF structure. When you define that CF structure, it's resultant
name is actually <QSG-name><CF-structure-name>. This means that your shared
queues in your four different QSGs will be on differently named CF
structures and therefore separated.
As for gateway queue managers, I'm not sure exactly what you're asking
here. If your gateway queue manager is part of the QSG then you will need
for each QSG because a queue manager can only be a member of one QSG. If
it's outside the QSG and just simply connecting to the QSG, then maybe one
is enough?

Please respond to
MQSeries List
I have a customer who has the same queue names in Test, Quality, Demo, and
Production QMgrs (Point-to-Point).
We want to include them in a Shared Queue configuration (comprised of 4
Queue-Sharing Groups.) Does WMQ put a QSG ID or anything else on the queue
names to differentiate them in a Coupling Facility? Also, if I use Gateway
QMgrs, do I have to have one for each QSG?
Thank you.
