Hi all, the very best editor in the world - and also available on Windows and on mainframes (when you use USS, ish ...) is:
vi ;-) At least to me, "vi" is one of the most powerful and especially fastest editors. I also know the ISPF editor and others (mainframes, VMS etc.). I do not think, that other editors are so different from "vi" (except, you are using "WinWord" :-o ). They all have many functionalities, which are only slightly different realized ... I like "vi" (but my collegue on the other side of the desk - I guess - would prefer the ISPF editor :-D ) Hubert > -----Ursprüngliche Nachricht----- > Von: MQSeries List <[email protected]> > Gesendet: 02.03.07 22:24:36 > An: [email protected] > Betreff: Re: What do mainframe people use? > Hi John, > > > > VI is rank! > > > The Solaris guys swear by it, but let > us know of some better editors out there. > > VI is so nasty that we have scripts > that run in USS that create our MQAUTH files and store them on a host file > system. > > Then we FTP them to the Solaris servers > and install them. > > > > > Regards, > > Wayne > > > > > > > "John J.
