No feedback yet on my VDEF stuff (hint hint) but I'm thinking of adding something already.
Every now and then there's a request for the total amount of <foo> during the interval. A VDEF:bar=foo,TOTAL line could do the trick and can be implemented rather quick. What would be the prefered way to handle unknown intervals? There are two options as far as I can see: 1) average(all rates)*timespan(graph) 2) sum(for each defined interval:(rate*stepsize)) The difference would be the unknown intervals. In the first case unknown intervals are assumed to be at the average rate, in the second case unknown intervals are assumed to be zero.
