Hi,

I want to create RPMs on a RedHat 7.2 server starting from the
source rrdtool-1.0.45.tar.gz and the spec file inside this archive :
rrdtool.spec

The compilation stops when building documentation in the "doc"
subdir with the message :
Can't locate object method "cmd_head3" via package "Pod::Man" at
/usr/lib/perl5/5.6.0/Pod/Man.pm line 463, <GEN0> line 225.

The failing step is :
pod2man --release=1.0.45 --center=rrdtool rrd-beginners.pod >
rrd-beginners.1

Seems that the Pod::Man package installed on my RedHat 7.2 is not
recent enough :
rpm -q -f /usr/lib/perl5/5.6.0/Pod/Man.pm
perl-5.6.0-17
(I do not have the problem on RedHat 7.3 but I am afraid that
RPMS build on 7.3 could make problems if installed on a 7.2)

What is the best way to make it work with this version of perl ?

(I would like to avoid upgrading perl and all dependencies and
RRDtool is said to be compatible with perl V5.005)

Thank you.

Jean-Michel BARBET.
