That may work - I don't think I've ever used unscaled graphs. I kind of like having a constant scale to easily gauge % of utilization, especially if I'm looking through the graphs of multiple devices. Ideally, I'd like to set the range for each graph (d/w/m/y), which I believe is currently controlled by maxbytes, and can only designated for the whole target, not the individual graph.
To tell the truth, I haven't experimented yet with simply setting maxbytes to 24 and seeing what mrtg does to the m/y graphs. I assume that it will just plot old values that were higher than 24 at the max of 24, rather than letting the graph scale larger.
