Those are templates for use with Congig maker's --template parameter. Check the config maker manual for details on its use. Essentially, config maker will use that template to generate a config file, filling in those variables with the correct items based on the equipment you are trying to poll.

I would like to monitoring port traffic in a fore asx 1000 switch. I have found a template in Somix web site but I have no idea how can I identify each port. Target[$DEVICE]:1.3.6.1.4.1.326.2.2.2.1.2.2.1.12.$INSTANCE&1.3.6.1.4.1.326.2 .2.2.1.2.2.1. 18.&INSTANCE:[EMAIL PROTECTED] * 53 What does $INSTANCE mean? What does it refer to? Does 53 identify the port? Which hw port (1C1, 2A1...)does it correspond? Thanks a lot!, Silvia -- Unsubscribe mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Archive http://www.ee.ethz.ch/~slist/mrtg FAQ http://faq.mrtg.org Homepage http://www.mrtg.org WebAdmin http://www.ee.ethz.ch/~slist/lsg2.cgi -- Unsubscribe mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Archive http://www.ee.ethz.ch/~slist/mrtg FAQ http://faq.mrtg.org Homepage http://www.mrtg.org WebAdmin http://www.ee.ethz.ch/~slist/lsg2.cgi
