Take a look at what I'm doing here:
http://redhook.univ-wea.com/MRTG/grendel.htm

MRTG runs on a windows box but the oids for cpu on a Red Hat box (with the
correct MIBS loaded, of course) are:
1.3.6.1.4.1.2021.10.1.5.1 1min
1.3.6.1.4.1.2021.10.1.5.2 5min
1.3.6.1.4.1.2021.10.1.5.3 10min

Here's the cfg part for the 1min graphs:

# Processor Utilization for Grendel
# divide by symbol alt + 0247

...just change the basic stuff....

Hope this helps out some folks.

Subject: [mrtg] cpu load onRedHat 6.x and 7.x

Hi,

I've been setting up MRTG and all is well. However i can't seem to find any
examples of an mrtg.cnf to do with monitiring cpu load on a redhat box.

Would anyone please post a snip of their mrtg.cnf so i can look over it
please?

thanks

Tom
