There are four files: cron.sh is run regularly from cron. This script places
logged data into subdirectories organized by date. It first calls
Perl/poll.pl to extract the vitals data from a set of running caches. Next
it calls Perl/splitem.pl which munges the data into separate files suitable
for input to Gnuplot. These files are read by vitals-graph.cgi, which is
called as a CGI program on your web server.
