Hello colleagues,

I have a question regarding measuring the incoming and outgoing bandwidth
usage on a Cisco router: when I do a 'show interface' for a specific
interface on a Cisco router, I can see a number in bytes.
When I tell MRTG to use bits instead of bytes, does it convert the number it
gets from the Cisco interface and multiply it by 8 to get the actual bit
rate ? I just want to be sure that, when I tell MRTG to display bits, it
does not just take the number from the Cisco interface and displays it as
bits.
Thanks for your help in advance.

Regards,

Georg
