MRTG by default deals in Bytes. If you wish to use Bits as a reference, then you need to use the bits option.

I apologize up front as I little knowledge of Perl and am new to MRTG. I was able to get MRTG configured with the default cfgmaker parameters listed in the "NT-guide" listed on <http://www.mrtg.org> www.mrtg.org. It polls my cisco 3600 and it seems to gather info for all it's ports just fine. The only problem that I have is that it appears to be a decimal place off in all the HTML. Example: HTML Report says: Max In: 544.1 kB/s (4.4%) Average In: 495.4 kB/s (4.0%) Current In: 544.1 kB/s (4.4%) The numbers should be 5.441 MB etc. The decimal place is off in this manner on all ports that are being reported on. Also The MAX speeds are all wrong. I have 3 active interfaces: FastEthernet0/0 - 12.5 MBytes/s (should be 100MB) Hssi2/0 - Max Speed: 1500.0 kBytes/s (should be 12 MB) Hssi3/0 - Max Speed: 1500.0 kBytes/s (should be 12 MB) I have read though the online docs and not found any help, If I have missed docs that can help I would be happy if someone could point me in the right direction. Thanks!!!
