A couple suggestions: Make sure you're using Options[count]: gauge
Make sure your Maxbytes is high enough to accommodate the results when all the ports are up. Run mrtg against the target several times and post the first ten or so lines of the rateup log file, so we can see what kind of numbers are being returned and calculated. Turn on error logging and see if any errors are being generated. These return 1 for up, 0 for down. So, for the active ports >on an 8 port switch, you could do something like this: Thanks for the tip. With this conf: Target[count]: ifAdminHack.5&ifOperHack.5:[EMAIL PROTECTED] + ifAdminHack.6&ifOperHack.6:[EMAIL PROTECTED] + ifAdminHack.7&ifOperHack.7:[EMAIL PROTECTED] + ifAdminHack.8&ifOperHack.8:[EMAIL PROTECTED] I think I get all interfaces in "down state", and none is up, even when it's actually up. I checked out mrtg/contrib script GetSNMPLinesUP, which looks like the one I'm looking for. The problem is that it doesn't return anything, and log file just displays zeros :-( -MiikaT -- Unsubscribe mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Archive http://www.ee.ethz.ch/~slist/mrtg FAQ http://faq.mrtg.org Homepage http://www.mrtg.org WebAdmin http://www.ee.ethz.ch/~slist/lsg2.cgi Confidentiality Notice: This e-mail message, including any attachments, is for the sole use of the intended recipient(s) and may contain confidential and privileged information.
