Dorothee: Depending on the information that you want to trend and how often, I would start looking at all the documentation under the DOCs folder first, it is very self-explanatory and ease to use. Then you might want to use rrdtool in combination with MRTG, is faster. I would also recommend using routers2.cgi as a front-end.
Here are some helpful sites (at least for me when I started doing this a year a go) http://open-innovations.com/mrtgbundle.html http://www.wtcs.org/snmp4tpc/default.htm http://www.loplop.net/projects/1minMRTG/ http://www.cheshire.demon.co.uk/pub If you have any more questions about some other specifics that you want to trend, write back to the group. Also; without insulting any Linux user, some of the above links are for windows based installation Luis Alegria ICS Courier Services Network Administrator -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Thursday, July 17, 2003 7:25 AM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: [mrtg] use of mrtg Hello, I make a trainin period and I must install and configure MRTG.
