> I am running MRTG 2.9.29 and RRDtool 1.0.40 under Windows 2000 SP3.
Never touched getlog.pl, but do know of another problem you will encounter (and may be the root cause of this one) RRDTool 1.0.38 and 1.0.40 will NOT write a large chunk of data to a RRD file, but WILL run happily day to day. So the first time you run MRTG with RRD, and expect your .log file to be converted, it creates an RRD file with junk in it. The solution is to dig 1.0.33 out, run MRTG once to create the RRDs, and then run with 1.0.40 thereafter. This also affects the ability of Killspike.pl. It is supposed to dump the RRD to XML, remove the spikes, and write the XML back to RRD. The last stage fails and you get junk. Using an old copy of RRD fixes that one. Ah, the wonderful things that Micro$oft WinDoze does for us!!! Regards Peter PS. In the WinDoze world, 14all and Routers2 (which I prefer) are OK, but MRTG-RRD does not work. -- Unsubscribe mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Archive http://www.ee.ethz.ch/~slist/mrtg FAQ http://faq.mrtg.org Homepage http://www.mrtg.org WebAdmin http://www.ee.ethz.ch/~slist/lsg2.cgi
