Christiane,

Using SNMPv2 for your polling should fix the problem. You're probably rolling
the counter over between intervals which is why you see strange results. Try
this...

Target[borderswi1_23]: 23:[EMAIL PROTECTED]:::::2

Hope that helps,
Corey.

Subject: [mrtg] MRTG problem 50 mbit/s

Hello,

I've got a problem with MRTG on a 100 mbit/s switch port,
where I only get peaks of 50 mbit/s, but the real traffic
is much higher.

An example is on
  http://www.region.hm/mrtg-problem/borderswi1_23.html
but it should(!) look like
  http://www.region.hm/mrtg-problem/summary.html
(only in mbit/s instead of Mbyte/s and little other values).

The traffic in real is a smooth graph, not that one with
those dales in it. :-(

The important configuration options are:

Options[_]: growright, bits
AbsMax[_]: 25000000
Target[borderswi1_23]: 23:[EMAIL PROTECTED]:
MaxBytes[borderswi1_23]: 12500000

Any advice desired.

Thanks in advance.
