Except that MRTG itself is talking to the VLAN interface. The VLAN interface is the IP address that you assign to the switch itself. Obviously, since the switch doesn't have its 'own' Ethernet port, it uses a virtual one. And, thus, this is the management interface used for all Telnet, HTTP, and SNMP traffic.

Since VLAN is only a logical interface, it should not have any traffic on it. -- Unsubscribe mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Archive http://www.ee.ethz.ch/~slist/mrtg FAQ http://faq.mrtg.org Homepage http://www.mrtg.org WebAdmin http://www.ee.ethz.ch/~slist/lsg2.cgi -- Unsubscribe mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Archive http://www.ee.ethz.ch/~slist/mrtg FAQ http://faq.mrtg.org Homepage http://www.mrtg.org WebAdmin http://www.ee.ethz.ch/~slist/lsg2.cgi
