I see the same thing all the time. I've been told that certain versions of MRTG do have rollover problems, but I never dug deep enough to figure out which ones provide a fix.

I got a huge spike on the LAN graph for my DI-604. I'm 99.9% certain that this is because the counter rolled over, not because there was a sudden burst of traffic just between the two PCs connected to it... :-) The thing is, though, that MaxBytes and AbsMax is set pretty high, because it's a 100 Mb/s interface. Is there any way to protect against false spikes other than by setting these values lower? -- John Oliver, CCNA http://www.john-oliver.net/ Linux/UNIX/network consulting http://www.john-oliver.net/resume/ * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * Contribute to the SpamCon Legal Fund!! http://www.spamcon.org/legalfund/ -- Unsubscribe mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Archive http://www.ee.ethz.ch/~slist/mrtg FAQ http://faq.mrtg.org Homepage http://www.mrtg.org WebAdmin http://www.ee.ethz.ch/~slist/lsg2.cgi -- Unsubscribe mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Archive http://www.ee.ethz.ch/~slist/mrtg FAQ http://faq.mrtg.org Homepage http://www.mrtg.org WebAdmin http://www.ee.ethz.ch/~slist/lsg2.cgi
