Will your provider put this into your snmp-server config on the router? ai-core(config)#snmp-server ifindex ? persist Persist interface indices
That'd do the trick for you if they will.... -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Tong, Andres Sent: Wednesday, February 04, 2004 1:43 PM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: [mrtg] IFIndex and MRTG Hello, Everytime my service provider reboots my router my IFINDEX numbers within the router shifts. Is there a way to monitor my router interfaces without the use of the IFIndex. I am in a mixedenvironment where I have routers that use IP unnumbered, and I also have interfaces that have numbered IP interfaces. So Can it monitor routers that have both IP numbered and IP unnumbered interfaces without the use of IFINDEX? Appeciate your assistance. -andy San Francisco -- Unsubscribe mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Archive http://www.ee.ethz.ch/~slist/mrtg FAQ http://faq.mrtg.org Homepage http://www.mrtg.org WebAdmin http://www.ee.ethz.ch/~slist/lsg2.cgi -- Unsubscribe mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Archive http://www.ee.ethz.ch/~slist/mrtg FAQ http://faq.mrtg.org Homepage http://www.mrtg.org WebAdmin http://www.ee.ethz.ch/~slist/lsg2.cgi
