Cisco has plenty of MIBs that will monitor the traffic on the backplane of a switch -- go to http://www.cisco.com/public/sw-center/netmgmt/cmtk/mibs.shtml and find what MIBs are supported for your switch.
Also see: How to Get Catalyst Switch Backplane Utilization Using SNMP - http://www.cisco.com/en/US/tech/tk648/tk362/technologies_tech_note09186a0080 094a96.shtml - Also you might want to look at the CISCO-ENVMON-MIB to find what you need to monitor the status of your power supply - see ftp://ftp.cisco.com/pub/mibs/v2/CISCO-ENVMON-MIB.my Hopefully this will help. Can anybody point me to a page or doc that would mention the two OIDs that I would need for this ?
