I have a Debian Linux box that mrtg tracks inboud and outbound traffic (Bits per Second) on but on eth1 it only tracks Inbound traffic, I do have iptables running on this box but all traffic is permitted on the loopback adapter, I have run tcpdump, and ran tail -f /var/log/syslog to see where it is getting hung on, I am not sure when looking at the logs it looks good.
