Back in the day (this is annoying phrase that my recent Teenager has found particularly obnoxious), there was a version called 2.9.22
In this version, I was able to use the Command options --ifref=desc --descint which was able to pull up an interesting phrase from the Router, such as: <TR><TD>Description:</TD><TD>Serial2/2.1 WAN sub-Interface 2/2.1: CRIS Frame Relay connection to AIS </TD></TR> However, as with all GOOD Things, times change. Now with version 2.10.13 I have the command line option: --ifref=desc (notice that the --descint is missing as this functionality is also - missing). <TR><TD>Description:</TD><TD>Serial2/2 </TD></TR> I would like to know how I can gain more 'Meaningful' Descriptions from the Router for MRTG (aka. how can I duplicate functionality of days of old??). -- Albert E.
