Hi,

I have kind of a similar problem. When comparing the graph generated with
routers2.cgi using data from rrdtool, it is slightly lower than straight
from MRTG (based on 5 min intervals). The rrdtool data is off by 5-6 mbps.

Thanks,

Jon

Subject: [mrtg] RRD graphs cant be right

Hi,
I have an RRA which is produced by MRTG, I am producing a 24 hour graph
using
rrdtool, the graph is set to plot avg and max values just like mrtg would.

Its using the 30min max RRA to plot the max values on this graph, but the
max
plot is consistently higher than the avg. This can't be true for the 24 hour

graph of 5 min averages where the max must equal the avg.

One other thing is the graphs should look identical and they are similar but
I
can see small differences.. for example the rrd graph shows slightly smaller

values (eg 70mb instead of 78mb) , and some of the plotted points are
definitely
different (eg a 5 min plot shows a dip on one but not hte other).

Any thoughts before I start dissecting this?

Steve
