I am using Paul Simmonson's method of using MRTG to monitor Windows servers
(extracting values from perfmon counters). On one network which I have
implemented this, it works really well. We have another network which I'm going
to monitor using the same method, and it's here I'm having a strange problem.

I'm using exactly the same method to monitor the servers, on an identical box,
using the same version of MRTG with the same configuration files, but what I'm
finding is, is that the graphs (for any server I try) do not show the correct
performance data. Sometimes they show a continuous green block with a value of
1, but nothing else. I checked the associated log files, and they are listing
negative values.

Example:

1083314792 -1 -1
1083314792 1 1 1 1
1083314492 1 1 1 1
1083314400 1 1 1 1
1083314100 1 1 1 1
1083313800 1 1 1 1
1083313500 1 1 1 1
1083313200 1 1 1 1
1083312900 1 1 1 1

I have checked the MaxBytes value to make sure all are above the counters being
logged by the servers, and they all look ok. I had noticed some issues with the
Options[_] value on previous occasions. I am trying to use; growright, pngdate,
transparent, noborder.

Anyone got any ideas?

Thanks

Tony
