# 75% 131525133
Pike is a Netapp filer and I am monitoring a share (User_Data) that is
arount 170Gb.
The kbytes total OID is the one ending in 1.3.5 and it returns the following
number: 175366844
That's 175 million kbytes that with the option of k=1024 gives me arount
167.2Gb
I want MRTG to send me an email when it goes over 75%, so ThreshMaxO is
131525133, which is 75% of 175366844
Pretty simple...
And when it goes over 75% (or 131525133), then usrdta.bat executes, which a
mail program (Blat) that sends me an email telling me so...

Hope this helps...

p.s. I will *never* get the Gb or GB or Kb or KB straight; bits, bytes, I
always get them confused, but you guys know what I'm talking about ;)

Subject: [mrtg] Threshold Examples?
Greetings,
I want to use the Threshold Checking parameters in MRTG to allow me to
check HDD space and send out an email message if certain parameters are
exceeded.
Does anyone have some examples of this they can share?
I've read through the documentation, but am still not sure how to
implement this feature.
For example, if I'm monitoring the percent used space on my hard drive,
do I set up the ThreshMinI variable like: ThreshMinI[servername]:
90%
Secondly, if I want to call a program, do I used ThreshProgI like:
ThreshProgI[servername]: `execute external program` Thanks for your help,
Brian
