You can use the option 'Unknaszero' For details see: http://people.ee.ethz.ch/~oetiker/webtools/mrtg/mrtg-reference.html#item_unknaszero Note that this option is used when calculating new data in the graphs. Straight lines that are already in your graph are not put to 0.
