I ran cfgmaker against some 2970s and got configs. Everything works fine until I move a port into a VLAN other than the default VLAN, at which point MRTG no longer gets any data for most ports. MRTG gets data for one port on each that's configured as a trunk and one port on one switch (that's in the default VLAN). Nothing else.
My assumption was that setting up or populating additional VLANs changed OIDs or the interfaces that MRTG knows about. But that doesn't seem to be the case... I can snmpget the OIDs (1.3.6.1.2.1.2.2.1.10.10103&1.3.6.1.2.1.2.2.1.16.10103 for example) I tried specifying those exact OIDs in the config file, but that doesn't work either. Hoping to generate a useful error message, I copied one stanza to a test config file and ran it manually... and it worked. So I copied another stanza into the test config, one that was created by cfgmaker, and ran it... and it worked. So, basically, if I run MRTG manually I get stats for all of my ports. If I let MRTG run from cron, I do not.
