I am monitoring the Packets per Second on a router port and I want to send an email when the rate goes over 80,000. You can see my config below.
Target[testpps]: 1.3.6.1.4.1.2636.3.3.1.1.3.57&1.3.6.1.4.1.2636.3.3.1.1.3.57:[EMAIL PROTECTED] 06.130.185:::::2 Options[testpps]: growright, gauge, nopercent MaxBytes[testpps]: 200000 Unscaled[testpps]: dwmy ShortLegend[testpps]: pps Legend1[testpps]: I1 packets per second Title[testpps]: I1 packets per second PageTop[testpps]: <H1>I1 packets per second </H1> ThreshMaxI[testpps]: 80000 ThreshProgI[testpps]: /var/www/perl/tcr1-57-pps.sh Here is what I get when I get the numbers with snmpget: snmpget -v2c -c public 128.206.130.185 .1.3.6.1.4.1.2636.3.3.1.1.3.57 SNMPv2-SMI::enterprises.2636.3.3.1.1.3.57 = Gauge32: 25487 You can see it returns 25,487 which seems valid and it appears in my rrd file. When I run MRTG against the config, here is what I get: /usr/bin/mrtg /usr/local/cfg/testpps.cfg WARNING: can't do threshold checking for target testpps(i) -- No valid current data Does anyone have any idea why the threshold checking is failing?
