Dear all,
using mrtg under linux (by cronjob) to log the traffic at Cisco 2800 router.
It had worked fine for a long time, but currently, the cron job had mail out
some error like:

Rateup WARNING: /usr/bin/rateup Can't remove 192.168.1.1.old updating log file
Rateup WARNING: /usr/bin/rateup Can't 192.168.1.1.old updating log file
Rateup WARNING: /usr/bin/rateup Can't remove 192.168.1.1.old updating log file

ERROR: I guess another mrtg is running. A lockfile (/etc/mrtg/2800_cfg_l) aged
0 seconds is hanging around. If you are sure that no other mrtg is running you
can remove the lockfile

(192.168.1.1 is the cisco interface ip and etc/mrtg/2800_cfg is the config file)

after those error, found that all data before this error happened had lost
(the .log had all zero value befor that time)

i understand that those error will be occured when first time to run the
mrtg. But now the mrtg program had run log time without any error and lost data
suddenly.

Anyone had idea about this? Thank a lot
