 Hello,

I monitor TenGiga ports on Cisco routers (6506/9) with MRTG using 64-bit
counters (:::::2).

As I understand 64-bit counters can fit 10 Giga bit, nevertheless the max
bandwidth shown is ~4Gbps.

Why is that? Or what am I missing?

My first guess: you're not exceeding 4 Gbps for a sustained 5-minute
interval. Are you saying that the switch is reporting something higher than
MRTG is? Again, for a 5-minute interval?
