I had been using MRTG 2.13.2 (RRDTool 1.0.50)with no problem but when we
built a new machine with RH Enterprise 4 it installs 2.10.15 and
suddenly all my Thresholds stopped working. We installed 2.14.5 on my
test machine and Threshold started working. I had not even looked at
the version of RRDTool, I am using 1.2.15 on both boxes. I got the same
"No valid current data" message but when I dumped the rrd file I had
numbers that looked right.

Subject: [mrtg] MRTG 2.10.15 and RRDTool 1.2.18

Hi,

About 2 years ago I posted that I was having some problems
with the :

WARNING: can't do threshold checking for target XXX-net(i) -- No valid
current data

and at the time the 1.2.X wasn't compatible with the version
of MRTG at the time. A rrdtool dump of the file showed it as all
unknown.

I recently had to install MRTG/RRDTool on a system and
using RPMs in the yum system from the repositories I had it
installed MRTG 2.10.15 and RRDTool 1.2.18.

I'm getting the errors. Is MRTG still not able to use
RRDTool 1.2.X, or is there some other reason causing it this time?
If I switch back to writing to .log , the file has data.

                        Thanks, Tuc
