What exactly do you mean by 'plot data has reset'?
Did you lose the historical data in the graphs?
If you don't use rrd to store the data for the graphs the data is stored -per 
graph- in a *.log and a *.old file.
When these 2 files don't exist MRTG will create them with all values preset to 
0.

updating FC6 kernels and/or switching between standard and xen kernels?
